Investiture, Gold Medal Award, Scholar Badge and Red Blazer Award Ceremony 2026

Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj organised its Investiture, Gold Medal Award and Scholar Badge Ceremony, celebrating leadership, academic excellence, creativity and sporting achievement.

The ceremony was graced by Prof. Gobardhan Das, Member, NITI Aayog, and Ms. Prastuti Upadhyay, IFS, distinguished alumna of the school, as the Special Guests.

A historic 114-member School Council was invested, with two Head Boys and two Head Girls for the first time in the school’s history. The 16-member Cultural Team was also inducted, recognising creativity and artistic excellence. The Junior School Student Council students also shone with pride and confidence.

The ceremony honoured 49 students with Gold Medals for earning the Scholar Badge for seven consecutive years, while 52 students received the Blue Blazer, Blue Tie, Blue Badge and Green Badge for academic excellence. Thirty budding sportspersons were felicitated with the Red Blazer for their sporting achievements.

In her address, Principal Ms. Deepti Vohra applauded the achievers for their dedication and perseverance. She urged parents to stand by their children in every situation, encourage them regardless of the outcome, and maintain open and continuous communication with them at every stage of their journey.

Prof. Gobardhan Das’s distinguished journey in science, research and education further enriched the occasion.

A special highlight was the return of Ms. Prastuti Upadhyay, IFS, who secured AIR 84 in UPSC 2024 and joined the Indian Foreign Service. Currently training at the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service, she will soon begin her first posting in Belgium. Her journey from DPS Vasant Kunj to the IFS inspired the young achievers.

The ceremony concluded with congratulations to all achievers and a reminder that every honour is not merely a distinction, but a responsibility to lead with humility, serve with purpose and strive for excellence.
