Space Awareness Sessions by Space India
Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj
Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj, in collaboration with Space India, conducted an exciting two-day Space Awareness Programme for students of Classes 1 to 10 on 22nd and 23rd April 2025. The sessions aimed to ignite scientific curiosity and foster a deeper understanding of space science and astronomy.
Students were introduced to fascinating concepts related to the cosmos, planets, stars, and space mysteries through engaging presentations, interactive discussions, and visual aids. A major highlight was the Hydro Rocket Launch, which provided hands-on experience and brought scientific principles to life.
The workshops strongly emphasised experiential learning, with activities like model-making, role-playing as astronauts, and simulated missions that encouraged creativity, inquiry, and collaboration.
These sessions are part of the school’s ongoing efforts to ensure the holistic and all-round development of its students by integrating innovation and scientific exploration into the curriculum.
Additionally, the school has launched a Space Astronomy Club in partnership with Space India, offering a cutting-edge course in Astronomy, Space Science, and STEM Education. The club provides students with opportunities for sky observation, telescope handling, and participation in global events.
The programme was a resounding success, leaving students inspired, informed, and excited to explore the wonders of the universe.
