Annual Day – III & IV
The glorious morning of 16th February, 2024 whispered its magic when the students of classes III and IV, attired in a kaleidoscope of colours and great èlan and enthusiasm, presented their Annual Day – The Lion King,the timeless story of courage, destiny and friendship.The Chief Guest of the programme, Shri Rahul Singh, Member,Managing Committee, DPS Vasant Kunj, graced the occasion with his presence.Shri Ravi Vira Gupta, Chairman,Managing Committee, DPS Vasant Kunj, was the Guest of Honour,while Shri Dilip Shankar, an eminent theatre personality was the Special Guest.The programme began with the lighting of the lamp ceremony by the distinguished guests.It was followed by the melodious rendition of the welcome song, 'I Feel Wonderful',by the talented school choir. Next the school Principal, Mrs Deepti Vohra, addressed the august gathering. She, in her address, welcomed the guests and appreciated the children for their dedication and preparation for dramatising the spectacular epic.
Clothed in a symphony of colours, 500 students brought alive the African savanna on the stage with Simba, Rafiki, Mufasa and the unforgettable cast of characters as they journeyed from Pride Rock to the jungle.It was a delight to watch the graceful dancers and energetic performers giving an enchanting performance, showcasing their coordination and talent.They captivated the audience with their spellbinding performances thus conveying the message that one must confront his fears and obstacles to become a true leader.The Chief Guest applauded the children for their fantastic performance which they played truly and truthfully and wished them good luck.The function came to an end with the presentation of vote of thanks and the singing of national anthem in unity and pride by all.
