INTER-DPS SCIENCE FESTIVAL: ANVESHAN

Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj opened its doors to all the Delhi Public Schools on 12 October 2022, as it hosted the Inter-DPS Science Festival 2022. The inquisitive theme for the event was “Anveshan”, mirroring the idea of probing and exploring the world around us.
The school saw a massive and enthusiastic participation from all the DPS schools in the Delhi-NCR. The fiesta consisted of several competitions based on different scientific principles and various innovative forms to display concepts in an enhanced light. The event encouraged students to emerge out of the teachings of their textbooks and create demonstration out of the box.
Prominent organisations such as the World Health Organisation and the Rotary Club displayed their brochures and intriguing products for the students to explore.
Intellectual science experts from both Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj and innumerable other schools posed as judges and assessed the unconventional and experimental entries.
A plethora of activities later, such as the Scivogue (Fashion show), Scifight (Debate), all the contestants gathered to attend the valedictory function. The Chief Guest for the day was Shri Ravi Vira Gupta, Chairman Managing Committee, Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj. Renowned and experienced scholar in the field of medicine, Dr. Randeep Guleria graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Smt. Dolly Chanana, Joint Director, Delhi Public School Society was yet another esteemed guest the school had the pleasure of receiving.
Post the rendition of the famous folk song, ‘Scarborough Fair’ by the school choir, the dignitaries addressed the audience and encouraged the students to keep innovating and imagining, utilizing their resources to create ground-breaking discoveries.
After their exceptional performances during the competitive phase of the day, a few outstanding entries presented their ideas on-stage. The young minds displayed their raging scientific spirits and won laurels for their respective schools. Delhi Public School, Faridabad emerged as the overall winner of the event.
The Vote of Thanks was delivered and the function concluded with a unanimous recitation of the National Anthem.
