Space Awareness Programme
Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj, in collaboration with Space India, organised an exciting and enriching Space Awareness Programme for the students of Classes I to X on 22 May, 2026. The programme was designed to spark scientific curiosity and deepen students’ understanding of space science and astronomy through engaging and hands-on learning experiences.
The session introduced young learners to fascinating concepts related to the cosmos, planets, stars, and the unique features of the Moon through interactive presentations, discussions, and visual demonstrations. Adding to the excitement, students enthusiastically participated in experiential activities such as understanding the phases of the Moon and creating the Moon’s cratered surface using marbles and sand.
A major highlight of the programme was the telescope observation session, where children joyfully observed the Moon along with the planets Venus and Jupiter, making the experience truly unforgettable.
The initiative reflected the school’s continued commitment to holistic education by integrating innovation, scientific exploration, and experiential learning into the curriculum, inspiring students to dream beyond the skies and explore the wonders of the universe.
