DPS Vasant Kunj hosted the fifth edition of RYDHUN 2023,its prestigious inter-school Indian and Western music competition with aplomb on 29th April, 2023. Eleven schools from Delhi NCR participated in the Indian segment, while eight schools vied for the honours in the Western segment. The Chief Guest for the programme was the venerable Dhrupad exponent, Padmashri Faiyaz Wasifuddin Dagar. The judges for the Indian categories were Udai Debanshi, seasoned television and radio artiste and the recepient of several coveted awards and Tirupati Sharma, a Sangeet Prabhakar holder who has contributed greatly to indian music. The judges for the Western events were Gautam Ghosh, who is credited with having pioneered Hindi pop and the Global Oneness Day; J K Emmanuel, a reputed guitarist, associated with the American Embassy School and YMCA and Naman Dutta, an inspiring multi-genre drummer and alumni of DPS Vasant Kunj.
The Valedictory Ceremony commenced with the Welcome Song being rendered by the school band Irus. The school Principal, Deepti Vohra, accorded a warm welcome to the esteemed dignitaries and participating teams. She eulogised music as being the essence of life. The Chief Guest, in his address, dwelled upon the responsibility of the younger generation to uphold the glorious traditions of music imparted to them. They both felicitated the deserving winners. The Rolling Trophy was bagged by DPS Faridabad. The event wise winners were:
