FRIENDLY CRICKET MATCH
PRINCIPAL’S XI vs ALUMNI’S XI
Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj hosted a friendly cricket match on Saturday, March 22, 2025, pitting the school's staff against former students. The event was held in the scenic Big Field from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with delightful weather providing the perfect setting for the game.
The occasion was honoured by the Chief Guest, Sri Kailash Gehlot, Member, Delhi Legislative Assembly, alongside esteemed guests including Smt. Bindu Sehgal, Former Director of DPS Vasant Kunj; Smt. Archana Misra, Former Vice-Principal, DPS Vasant Kunj; and Sri V.K. Sehrawat, Former Headmaster, DPS Vasant Kunj.
The initiative, spearheaded by Principal Mrs. Deepti Vohra, was a grand success from the first ball to the last. The match unfolded as an exhilarating experience filled with energy, excitement, enthusiasm, and fervor, with the spirited atmosphere intensifying as the game progressed. The match featured a contest between the Principal's XI and the Alumni's XI, with each team batting for fifteen overs.
Distinguished guest Sri Kailash Gehlot presented the prizes, with the Winner’s Trophy presented to the captain of the Principal’s XI. Larry Behl and Viraj Lamba, the talented alumni of DPS Vasant Kunj, received the Best Cricketer and Best Bowler trophies, respectively.
