Autism Awareness Month
“Autism Awareness Day” is observed every year on 2nd April worldwide.To make the children aware of this day, DPS Vasant Kunj organised various activities in the month of April,2023 for the students of classes Prep to VIII. For classes Prep, I and II, a story telling session was organised. It was followed by a colouring activity which was enjoyed by all.The students of classes III, IV and V attended a talk and a story telling session.They also watched a movie in the MP Hall which was organised by the Special Educators-Counsellors to bring in awareness about the disability. For classes VI to VIII, a talk by the class teachers was organised in their respective classrooms. The students of Classes V to VIII also participated in the Poster Making Activity,and designed thought-provoking posters. This long month celebration gave an opportunity to the students to understand and learn about Inclusion.
