ANNUAL DAY AND SCHOLAR BADGE CEREMONY (2023-24)
Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj celebrated its Annual Day and Scholar Badge Ceremony with great gusto and splendor. To felicitate the scholars for their academic excellence, the Scholar Badge Ceremony for classes 7th to 11th session 2022-23 was organized by the famed institution. The noteworthy ceremony was spread over two days, i.e. 3rd November 2023 and 4th November 2023.
Day one, the ceremony was held for classes 10th and 11th while day two was organized for classes 7th, 8th and 9th. The Vice-Chairman, the DPS Society, Shri. V. K Shunglu was the Chief Guest of the ceremony, while Shri. Ravi Vira Gupta was the Guest of Honour. Day two witnessed Ms. Vrinda Sarup, Member, the DPS Society and Member, Managing Committee, DPS Vasant Kunj gracing the special occasion as the Chief Guest and Ms. Bindu Sehgal, Former Director as the Guest of Honour.
On both the days, the ceremony began on an auspicious note with the lighting of the lamp and the school choir serenading the audience with soul-stirring “Aashaein”. This mellifluous rendition was followed by the address of the Principal, Ms. Deepti Vohra, who congratulated the students on their stellar achievements. She advocated that perseverance and dedication is the key to success and encouraged the young scholars to keep striving. She also urged the parents’ to spend quality time with their children and support them in their journey ahead.
This was followed with the Scholar Badge Ceremony. As a hallmark of true academic brilliance, around 700 scholars were awarded badges and certificates for excellence in scholastic arenas. The ambience of the school’s Multi-purpose hall reverberated with the cheers and applause for the proud scholars.
Next, 250 talented performers staged a thought-provoking dance drama, “The Discovery of Joy”, which beautifully highlighted the challenging journey of the children in the modern-day scenario and the catharsis that follows thereafter. The play was very well-received by the mesmerized audience. The Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem announced the culmination of the ceremony.
