  Animal Week-2024-25

Animal Week

“Show them love,

Care for their needs,

Be gentle, be kind,

Show good deeds.”

This message was imparted in the Animal Week organised for classes Nursery- II from 9  to 13 September, 2024. The event aimed to generate curiosity among the children about the uniqueness of the magnificent animal world and to be caring and compassionate towards them. A plethora of activities enjoyed by the little ones included interesting crafts on the theme such as ‘My Pet Kitty’, ‘3D Snail’, ‘Animals with Numbers’ and ‘Paper Tearing’. The children enjoyed songs such as ‘If I Were a Butterfly’ and ‘Walking in the Jungle’, and also engaged in creative writing on the topic, ‘If I Had Wings’. To keep the excitement high, an Intra-Class Animal quiz was organized for the budding quiz masters and the Show and Tell session brought creativity to the fore. The story of the wise elephant in ‘Gajapati Kulapati’ was in sync with the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, and children made cute Ganesha cards.

Talk by the teachers woven around the care and love towards animals brought a volley of questions from the young children. The message emphasised the importance of caring and respecting the ecosystem we live in.
