Go Green Week
“Go green is the way,
Act now lest you pay!”
One of the most important things today is to save our environment by adopting ways and means which require efforts from all of us and children from a very young age should be made a part of this culture. With this aim, DPS Vasant Kunj organized ‘Go Green Week’ for classes Nursery- II, from 8 to 12 July. Various exciting activities were conducted. The children demonstrated their creativity by designing flower headbands and creating birds in the nests, posters and paintings. They also used old newspapers to create a paper bag and did vegetable painting. Thoughts poured in when they were encouraged to write about ‘My Green Planet’. The school gardener potted a plant and exhibited it to the curious minds. The children enjoyed the Dress Me Up show and learned more about growing plants through germination. A Hat Parade was conducted and children enthusiastically shouted the slogan, ‘Ped Lagao!’ Different stories such as ‘Bulbul’s Garden’ and ‘Plants are Our Lifeline’ convey the importance of going green and inspire children to adopt eco-friendly habits.
