  Annual Programme Classes 1 and 2-2023

 

ANNUAL PROGRAMME

CLASSES I AND II

 DPS Vasant Kunj was decorated beautifully on the morning of the 13th October,2023 as it celebrated the Annual Programme of Classes I and II – Dances of the World, based on the theme Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam- World is one big family. The programme began with the auspicious lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, Ms. Seema Roy Chowdhury, Deputy Director Education, Zone 20; our school Principal, Mrs. Deepti Vohra and Headmistress, Mrs.  Malini K. Sengupta, to invoke the blessings of Almighty. It was followed by a melodious rendition of the welcome song – One more step. The school Principal welcomed the Chief Guest, the French delegation of 22 students and 3 teachers and the parents. She congratulated the parents and their children who performed brilliantly in the programme. She suggested the parents to spend quality time with their children and be a role model for them. She also shared the achievements of the students of Classes I and II. The Chief Guest, Mrs. Seema Roy Chowdhury, in her address, applauded the children for presenting such a spectacular show. She congratulated the school Principal and the Headmistress for being so cooperative and supportive, and requested the parents to provide support system to their children and identify their strengths as each child is unique.

    

    

    

    

 

491 children of Classes I and II mesmerized the audience with their wonderful performances of various dances from different countries, thus conveying the message of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. The travel vloggers commenced their journey from their motherland, India, and took the audience across the globe, thus embracing human diversity and learning from each other’s strengths. It was a delight to watch the graceful dancers dressed up in myriad hues who presented a magnanimous show.

The school Headmistress, Mrs. Malini K. Sengupta, proposed the vote of thanks and applauded the children and the teachers for their relentless efforts. The programme came to an end with the rendition of the national anthem.
