INVESTITURE AND GOLD MEDAL HONOUR CEREMONY FOR CLASSES V, XI & XII

Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj, organized the Investiture and Gold Medal Honour Ceremony for Classes V, XI and XII for the academic session 2024-25 on 18th July 2025.
The school proudly unveiled its newly elected Student Council and celebrated the achievements of its gold medallists and scholars during the ceremony. Exceptional performers in sports were also recognized with the prestigious Red Blazers. In total, 225 students were honoured for their remarkable accomplishments on this special occasion.
Shri Kailash Gahlot, Hon’ble Member of the Delhi Legislative Assembly and Chief Guest of the ceremony, along with Shri Ravi Vira Gupta, Chairman Managing Committee, DPS Vasant Kunj, graced the event with their distinguished presence.
The ceremony began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a plant presentation to all the distinguished guests which was followed by an uplifting performance by the school band- IRUS.
The Principal, Ms. Deepti Vohra, warmly welcomed the esteemed gathering, sharing her heartfelt pride in the outstanding curricular and co-curricular accomplishments of the meritorious scholars.
She urged the students to follow the equation, ‘event plus response equals outcome ’. For this outcome to be a ‘success’, she highlighted the importance of 3Hs- honesty, hard work and humility- alluding to an episode from the Mahabharata.
A captivating dance performance depicting Lord Krishna imparting the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna added spiritual and cultural depth to the ceremony. The graceful performance inspired all with its powerful message of duty and courage.
The revered Chief Guest, Shri Kailash Gahlot, in his welcome address, acknowledged the school to be ‘one of the finest in the country’. He further urged the students to follow the 3Ds- discipline, determination and dedication- and pursue politics to shape the country’s future.
The ceremony proceeded with the conferring of Gold Medals and Scholar Badges to Class XII students, and the Red Blazers were presented to oustanding sports achievers.
Following this, the esteemed guests felicitated the newly appointed Junior and Senior School Student Council members. The oath was then administered to the council by Shri Ravi Vira Gupta.
The momentous ceremony drew to a close with the Vote of Thanks, followed by the National Anthem, sung in unison by the entire assemblage.
