NURSERY ORIENTATION
Session – 2025-26
If we want to move the mountain, we have to let them out of their chair.

Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj organized the Orientation Session for Class Nursery on 21 March, 2025. Parents were introduced to the school’s infrastructure and daily operations through informative videos.
The session began with a warm welcome address by the Headmistress, Ms. Malini K. Sengupta, followed by insights from Junior School Supervisor, Ms. Nandita Yadav, who also introduced the Nursery teachers to facilitate future communication.
Nursery Reps, Ms. Gitika Sehgal and Ms. Smriti Nayyar presented an overview of Nursery class functioning, covering essential aspects such as school timings, lunch break, school activities, bus routes, dispersal and general guidelines. They also presented a video showcasing the children’s joyful learning experiences through interactive play-based activities.
Next, Cambridge Coordinator, Ms. Anju Kaistha, provided an overview of the Cambridge Curriculum and pedagogy. Through a presentation and video, she highlighted the holistic Cambridge approach, hands-on learning, and the transition from adult-led to child-led activities.
The school counsellor, Ms. Surpreet Oberoi, sensitized the parents regarding the inclusive classrooms, students’ emotional well-being, and support for children with special needs.
The session concluded with a ‘School Walk’, where parents divided into 6 groups, were guided through different blocks - A,B, C, D by the members of the School Council.
