Investiture Ceremony and Diwali Assembly

With great pride and joy, the junior school of DPS Vasant Kunj organised the Investiture Ceremony of the session 2022-2023 on 21^st October,2022. It was graced by the school Director, Mrs. Bindu Sehgal. The programme began by invoking the blessings of Almighty. The school choir gave an enlivening performance with their rendition of, ‘Count your blessings’ and Teri ye Zamin’. The school Principal, Mrs. Deepti Vohra, in her address welcomed the audience, congratulated the children and aspired them to achieve their dreams.

It was followed by a special assembly on Diwali which was presented by 245 students of Class II. The theatrical show brought the spirit of love, faith, and devotion, and took everyone through the beautiful story of the righteous Prince of Ayodhya, the ideal wife Sita, and the powerful learned demon, the King of Lanka, Ravana. The children depicted the story beautifully capturing the essence of the characters. They embodied the spirit of each character with immaculate expressions, costumes and theatrical skills.

The mesmerising dance performance by the students brought forth the festive fervour. The presentation by the young confident children left an indelible mark. The audience was awestruck by the show put forth by the children and they applauded and gave a standing ovation.
