INVESTITURE AND GOLD MEDAL CEREMONY FOR CLASSES V, XI & XII
2023-24
Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj organized the Investiture and Gold Medal Honour Ceremony for Classes V, XI and XII for the academic session 2023-24 on 6th September 2024.
The school introduced its newly formed Student Council and proudly felicitated its gold medalists and scholars at the ceremony. The sports achievers were also honoured with Red Blazers. In all, 165 students were felicitated on the occasion.
Ms. Vrinda Sarup, Member, The DPS Society, and Member, Managing Committee, DPS Vasant Kunj along with Shri. Yuvraj Malik, Director, National Book Trust of India graced the occasion as esteemed guests.
The ceremony commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. This was followed by a soul-stirring musical performance by the school choir.
The Principal of the school, Ms. Deepti Vohra, welcomed the august gathering by expressing her pride in the curricular and co-curricular achievements of the meritorious scholars.
The revered guest, Ms. Vrinda Sarup praised the school’s efforts in motivating the students to improve their performance and aim for academic excellence.
The revered guests felicitated the newly formed Junior and Senior school Student Council members followed by the administering of oath to the school student council.
A captivating dance performance depicting the sacred bond between a guru and his disciple in the form of Lord Krishna and Arjuna was presented next.
Next, the Gold Medal Award and Scholar Badge ceremony for Class XII commenced followed by felicitation of sports achievers with red blazers.
Shri Yuvraj Malik, in his address, urged the students, parents and teachers to strive towards becoming “responsible citizens”.
The momentous ceremony concluded with the Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem.
