MERAKI- OORJA 2023
With an aim to provide a platform to the children with special needs to showcase their sporting prowess, an Inter-School Athletic meet ,MERAKI- OORJA 2023, was hosted on 12th December,2023. The theme of the event celebrated the spirit of embracing one another’s uniqueness. 104 students from 13 schools from Delhi and NCR participated in various competitive and non-competitive events wiith great enthusiasm and displayed the spirit of true sportsmanship. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp.It was followed by the resounding rendition of the welcome song by the school choir.Following this,the school Vice Principal, Mrs Archana Malik ma'am, addressed the gathering, and declared the meet open.
Children took part in various field and track events with great zest and zeal,and impressed everyone with their speed, agility and stamina.Thereafter the prize distribution ceremony was organised, wherein medals were awarded to all the winners, and certificates and special gifts were given to all the participants.The school Headmistress, Mrs. Malini K Sengupta ma'am, proposed the vote of thanks. She applauded all the participants for their relentless efforts, and congratulated the winners.
The programme concluded with the rendition of the national anthem.
