Orientation Programme- Class Nursery
The Orientation Programme for the parents of class Nursery for the session 2024-2025 was held in the M.P Hall on 26th March 2024, Tuesday. The programme began with the welcoming of the parents by Ms. Gitika Sehgal, the Rep of Class Nursery. It was followed by the formal introduction to the school by the School Headmistress, Ms. Malini K. Sengupta. In her address, she covered essential topics such as program goals, the introduction of the class teachers, and parental involvement. This was taken further by another Rep of Class Nursery, Ms. Ritu Arora, who provided an overview of the curriculum, health, and safety of the child along with the protocols of the school. Thereafter, Ms. Anju Kaistha, the Cambridge Coordinator, delivered a presentation and apprised the parents with the Cambridge Early Years curriculum and its approach as an option for children in Nursery. In the end, the school counsellor, Ms. Surpreet Oberoi, discussed parenting styles and the ways by which children can easily adjust to the new school environment.
The session concluded by addressing general queries of parents. It was ensured that parents have a clear understanding of the school system and how to support their child's smooth and happy transition into class Nursery.
ORIENTATION SESSION FOR CAMBRIDGE CURRICULUM

An orientation session was conducted at Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj to provide an introduction to the Cambridge Curriculum, its objectives and how it aligns with the educational philosophy of the school. Ms. Monika Rakheja, one of the core members of the schools’ Cambridge department, welcomed the parents. The orientation session was led by Ms. Prachi Mehta, Manager-North India of Cambridge International and Ms. Anju Kaistha, the Cambridge Coordinator of D.P.S Vasant Kunj.
The session began with Ms. Prachi Mehta, who presented an overview of the Cambridge curriculum and apprised the attendees with the Cambridge pathways. She informed the parents about the numerous benefits of selecting the Cambridge Curriculum, such as holistic development, international recognition, alignment with 21st-century skills, and independent learning.
The orientation session was led forward by Ms. Anju Kaistha who gave an insight into the school policies and protocols of the curriculum. She elaborated on the teaching approach and assessment methods employed in the Cambridge Curriculum, such as play-based learning, inquiry-based approach, experiential learning, checkpoint examinations, formative assessments, progression tests and checklists for a deeper understanding. Furthermore, Ms. Anju through her presentation, showcased real-time child-centric classroom activities and testimonials of the parents who chose the Cambridge Curriculum in the last academic year.
The orientation programme that concluded with an interactive question-and-answer equipped parents with the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions about their children's education. The session helped to build a supportive learning community committed to nurturing the students' academic excellence and personal growth.
