Independence Day Special Assembly-2026

To mark the 80th Independence Day of India, a special assembly was presented by the students of Class V, with the participation of around 100 students.

The assembly began with a soulful patriotic song by the school choir, followed by the morning prayer led by the Headmistress, Mrs. Pooja Budhiraja. The Principal, Mrs. Deepti Vohra, addressed the students and engaged them in an interesting quiz on Independence Day, encouraging them to recall important facts and reflect on the significance of the occasion.

The students then presented the play “Time Machine,” which brought together India’s past and present and encouraged the audience to reflect on the true meaning of freedom and our responsibilities as citizens. This was followed by the poem “मैं तिरंगा हूँ… Listen to My Colours,” which beautifully highlighted the values and emotions associated with our National Flag.

The assembly came to a lively close with a scintillating patriotic dance performance, followed by a Vote of Thanks delivered by the Vice Principal, Mrs. Malini K. Sengupta. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
