Earth Day Assembly

EVS Department, Junior School organised the Earth Day Assembly  on 21^st April 2023. A series of activities were organised in the junior school for classes III-V. Students of Class III prepared Headgears, class IV students wrote poems on Mother Earth. Students of class V highlighted the concerns regarding conservation of various natural resources as Earth Saviours. They spoke about issues like climate change, saving soil, trees, conserving energy sources. A student of class IV recited a self-composed poem on allegiance to mother Earth. The school choir presented a melodious song ‘Let the children have a world’ on this occasion.

The Headmistress, Ms. Malini K. Sengupta, shared her views with the children on the importance of preserving our planet Earth. The school Principal Ms. Deepti Vohra and Vice Principal, Ms. Archana Malik conducted a tree plantation along with the children. The assembly concluded with students taking a pledge to save the environment, to cherish and protect it.

EARTH DAY ASSEMBLY - SR. SCHOOL

‘Earth Day’ aims to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote conservation efforts to protect our planet. It reminds us of our responsibility to take care of the planet and protect it for future generations. 

As a part of the celebrations the following competitions were organized:-

1. Poster Making and Word Search:On April 19, 2023, a ‘Poster-Making activity’ and a ‘Word Search activity’ were organized for grades VIth and VIIth to celebrate Earth Day. 

2. Environment Quiz:On 20th April 2023, an ‘Environmental Quiz’ was conducted for grades VIIIth  andIXth  with questions related to ‘Earth Day’ and the environment.  

3.Special Assembly:On  April 21,2023, a‘SpecialAssembly’ was conducted for class IX to mark the occasion of Earth Day.

4. Pledge:The students pledged  to reduce their carbon footprint and actively contribute to a greener future.

5.Nukkad Natak:On 26 April, 2023 a ‘Nukkad Natak’ competition was organized for class XI on the occasion of Earth Day.
