Earth Day-2024
On April 22, 2024, the EVS Department, Junior School, celebrated Earth Day by organizing a special assembly and conducting a series of activities for students of classes III-V. Students of Class III prepared Headgear, Class IV students wrote poems on Mother Earth and Class V students designed beautiful badges on saving Earth.
Keeping the theme ‘Planet vs Plastic’ a special assembly was conducted where Class V students, as Earth Crusaders, addressed concerns about conserving various natural resources. They also spoke about the serious issue of climate change and avoiding the use of plastic. Two students of Class V recited a poem ‘A New Dawn’ to inspire their peers to take charge and bring a positive change. On this occasion, the school choir presented a melodious song ‘Heal the World’.
The assembly began with a prayer led by the Headmistress, Ms. Malini K Sengupta. The Vice Principal, Ms. Archana Malik, shared her thoughts on preserving planet Earth, and the school Principal, Ms. Deepti Vohra, concluded the assembly by having the students take the pledge to preserve and cherish the environment.
