Assembly - World Rabies Day
World Rabies Day is observed every year on 28th September, 2024. In order to raise awareness about the importance of rabies and responsibilities of pet care, the students of Class III presented an assembly on 7 October, 2024. The entire class of 46 students played an active role in presenting key information on rabies transmission and prevention strategies. They elaborated on how this fatal disease can be prevented through timely vaccination of pets, responsible pet care, and public education. A short but impactful skit was performed by the students, illustrating practical tips on how to stay safe around animals and the necessary precautions to be taken if bitten or scratched by an animal. The assembly concluded with a pledge, taken collectively by all the students and the attendees, to spread awareness about this fatal disease within their communities. The event was both informative and engaging, helping everyone understand the One Health approach, and reinforcing the role that everyone must play in preventing this deadly disease.
