  Winners Jr. 2021-22

Painting Competition - DCPCR

The Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights through a circular of Department of Education encouraged participation from all schools (aided/unaided/private/govt.) for a painting competition on the theme of ‘Second Year of the Covid-19 Pandemic and how it has significantly disrupted childhood and education of children in the Indian context’. The contest attracted thousands of entries from schools across Delhi.

Shiven Sidharth of 4A and Aditya Singh of 4D represented DPS VK and has won the prize in the contest. Pleased to share that Shiven’s and Aditya’s paintings are getting featured in the Annual Journal of the DCPCR. The prize distribution will be held in  July on the day of the Journal launch.

Chess Championship' 2021

In the India International Chess Tournament' 2021,our budding chess master Avyansh Nanda of class 1 secured the second position in under 7 category, winning a cash prize of INR 7000.He also secured 13th position in Delhi State Chess Championship' 2021 organised by Delhi Chess Association. 

Jamboree Potpourri International Art Competition

 DPS Sushant Lok organised an Inter- School Art Jamboree (2021-22) - POTPOURRI for the students of classes Nur- V on 5^th February, 2022 under the following categories-

Classes Nursery and Prep – Front Flair- Dry Leaf Art

Classes I and II – Sprig Splendour- Twig/ Stick Art

Classes III and IV – Crème de la Crème – Art on Popsicle

Class V – Popyrus Palatte – Landscape on Newspaper 12  schools participated in the event.

The junior school participated in the event and brought glory to school by winning in the following categories-

-         Deepanshu Mittal of class II- B won the second prize in -  Sprig Splendour- Twig/Stick Art Category.

-        Ayana Goel of class III- E won the Promising position in - Crème de la Crème – Art in Popsicle Category.

  Junior Flash 2021-22

Raghubir  Singh  Junior  Modern  School, New Delhi, organised an  Inter-School  Computer  Competition - 18^th  Junior  Flash 2021-22 through a virtual mode  on  29^th  January 2022  for the students of Classes  IV and V. Around 16 schools participated in the competition.

 From the junior school, Myier Wig  of Class 5C participated in the event- Cluster of Slides- Impact of Mobile Apps on Society, and won the First Prize

Achievement Report

DPS Gautam Budh Nagar organized an Inter- School Competition-UDBHAV-2022 through a virtual mode on 15th January,2022.12 schools from Delhi and NCR participated in the competition. From the junior school Tisya Negi of class 5 E participated in the event - वर्णों का खेल and bagged the Third position.

Goenkan Techfest

G.D. Goenka,Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, organised an Inter-School Computer competition-‘Transforming Dreams Digitally-2022’ on 12^th January 2022 for classes III to V.

This  was a virtual, inter school competition comprising of Powerpoint and MS Paint based events wherein about 30 schools participated.

Devaangi Mehra of Class 5D and Hardika Kumar of 5E participated in E –Presenter event and brought laurels to school by winning the first prize.

Shiven Siddharth  another gem of our school of Class 3E participated in the Techy Canvas event and got the distinction by winning the third prize.

Inter School Competitions - Bulandshahr

Delhi Public School Bulandshahr organized various Inter-School competitions for the students of classes III- XII to celebrate the Silver Jubilee Celebrations, through the virtual mode from 10^th January, 2022 to 12^th January, 2022.

The junior school participated in the competitions enthusiastically and won prizes in the following events-

·         Seerat Tanwar of Class V-F and Hiyana Nagpal of Class V-D participated in the event-Story-Telling through Puppets and won the Consolation prize.

·         Atharv Sehgal of Class IV-A participated in the event- Kisse aur Kahani, Kathputliyon ki Zubani and won the Consolation prize.

·         Siddharth Dev of Class V-A and Aarav Barnwal of Class IV-G participated in the German event- Wortbilder (Word picture) and won the Consolation prize.

·         Delina Mohanty of Class V-E and Avika Khanna of Class IV-B participated in the French event- La creativité- painting a T- Shirt and won the third prize.

Inter-School event, CONNECTING CULTURES – A FESTIVAL OF LANGUAGES

Delhi Public School Rohini hosted an Inter-School event, CONNECTING CULTURES – A FESTIVAL OF LANGUAGES on 18^th  December, 2021. Nineteen schools from Delhi and NCR participated in the event. Jinisha Singh of Class V-F and Avantika Pande of Class VI-E participated in the Offline event- ‘MY AD FOR THE SOFA SURFERS - AD MAD COMPETITION’. They brought laurels to school by winning the second prize.

Inter School Hindi Debate

DPS MATHURA ROAD organized an Inter –School Debate Competition on 26th November, 2021. Eleven schools from all over Delhi participated in the event. Hardika Kumar of Class 5E and Manvi of Class 4G from the junior school took part in the competition. The topic for the debate was, ‘एकल परिवार खुशियों का आधार’.  Hardika Kumar of Class 5 E spoke against the motion. She won the first prize.

SPLENDOUR – 2021

Bal Bharati Public School, Gangaram Hospital Marg, Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi, organized an Inter- School Creative Skills Competition- ‘Splendour – 2021’ on 30th September 2021 for Classes Nur & Prep.

Splendour  2021 was a virtual, inter school event comprising various events like Costume Fiesta, Hasya Ki Phuhaar , Ad - O - Mania, Crafty Hands.

Saatvik Gupta of Class Prep F, DPS  Vasant Kunj participated in the AD-O-MANIA- ADVERTISEMENT Event and brought laurels to school by winning the Third Prize.

Swaralaap

Gyan Bharati School, Saket organized an Inter-School Singing Competition- ‘Swaralaap’ on 21^st August, 2021 for the students of Classes III, IV and V. The theme of the competition was – ‘Aashayein’.

The following students of DPS Vasant Kunj participated in the competition and brought laurels to school by winning the First Prize and the Rolling Trophy.

MÉLANGE 2021

Delhi Public School, Dwarka organized a Literary and Cultural interschool competition MÉLANGE 2021 for Nursery to Class V through the virtual mode from 2^nd to 7^th August, 2021.

The students from the junior school of Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj, participated enthusiastically and brought laurels to the school by winning in the following events –

1.    Hardika Kumar of Class 5 won the 1st prize in the event 'Chordstruck' (singing a English song on the theme, Humanity).

2.    Jajolla Siri of Class 4 won the 1st prize in the event ‘Nritya Darpan' (performance on Indian classical dance).

3.    Amaira Vohra of Class 3 won the 1st prize in the event 'Leafy Zoo' (using leaves to creatively depict animals).

4.    Ayam Tyagi of Class 1 won the 2^nd prize in the event 'In your mind's eye' (pictorial depiction of a given topic).

5.    Kavya Khanna of Class Nursery won the 3^rd prize in the event 'Talking Turkey' (Show ‘n’ tell fancy dress).

Indradhanush

Sanskriti School, Chanakya Puri, hosted Indradhanush, an online live event for Children with Special Needs, on 10^th and 11^th August, 2021. The theme of the event was ‘Kerala’.

The junior school of Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj, brought laurels to school by winning in the following events –

1.    Krishna Srivastav of Class I C won the First prize in ‘Fancy Dress’

2.    Ayusha Borji of Class V D won the First prize in ‘Dance’

Efforts of Adhiraj Devgan of Prep D and Ayaana Bhatia of III E were praiseworthy too.All the children participated with great delight and excitement in the event.
