Adaptive Athletic Meet

The Adaptive Athletic Meet, organized by Sanskriti School in association with Special Olympics Bharat, was held from January 30 to 31, 2025. The event saw participation from 24 schools and 350 children with special needs from across Delhi and NCR. Our students performed exceptionally well, winning a total of 4 medals in various categories-

POTPOURRI (2024-2025)

An Inter-School Art Jamboree, POTPOURRI (2024–25), was organized by Delhi Public School, Sushant Lok, Gurugram, on 1st February 2025. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from several renowned schools, making it a vibrant and creative experience for all.

The primary objective of the competition was to provide a platform for students to showcase their talent and artistic vision on the theme “Vibrant India: An Artistic Array.” Participants submitted artworks in various categories, including clay modelling, mural painting, canvas painting, mask making with recyclable materials, and puppetry.

An esteemed panel of judges evaluated the artworks based on creativity, relevance to the theme, neatness, impact of colors, and verbal explanation.

Winners:

●       1st Position – Amyra Minocha and Meher Dawer (Class 5) in Perfect Puppetry

●       2nd Position – Inika Gupta and Aadya Jaishali (Class 3) in Mural Magic

●       3rd Position – Adriti Sarkar and Ahana Rathi (Class 2) in Warli Art

Delhi Public school Vasant Kunj emerged as the overall winner of the competition.

 

 

7th TAFS Mini Basketball Tournament

The girls’ team of our school achieved an impressive Second Position in the 7th TAFS Mini Basketball Tournament held at The Air Force School, Subroto Park on 30th and 31st  January, 2025. 21st Junior Flash Inter-School Competition

Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj participated in the 21st Junior Flash Interschool Competition organised by Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School,  Humayun Road on 22nd  January, 2025. Aarav Jain of Class V and Kaavish Agrawal of Class IV bagged the Second Position in the Tech Tidbits Quiz Competition. 

 

 

Hindi Debate Competition

Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj participated in the Hindi debate competition organised by Delhi Public School Mathura Road on 23 January, 2025. Sumanavi Jha of Class V and Ojasvi Rana of Class IV bagged the First Position in the competition.  Additionally, Sumanavi Jha from Class V also secured the Third Position in the Best Speaker category.

 

Debate Competition at IIT Madras

In a remarkable display of oratorical prowess, Sharanya Seth of Class 5 E, emerged victorious in the debate competitions held at the prestigious institutes of India. She was adjudged the winner in the original oratory format held at the IIT Madras in January 2025. She displayed critical thinking and persuasive arguments on the topic “Fading Echoes - The growing Depletion of Indian Monuments and Museums’’. Also, in the turncoat debate,  held in July, 2024 at the IIT Kanpur, she was declared the second runner-up. Her compelling arguments for and against the topic, “The imposition of Trade Barriers between nations should be supported", demonstrated her quick thinking and versatility. Students from all over India participated enthusiastically in the competitions.

 

 

English Language Meet

The 21st Lala Raghubir Singh English Language Meet, 2024-2025 was organised by Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School on 17 December 2024. The event featured a range of events that showcased the linguistic  skills of participants. Vaanya Agarwal and Sharanya Seth of Class V received participation certificates for their performance in the event, ‘Ink and Imagination’. Samrita Sehgal and Inaaya Arora of Class IV were also awarded participation certificates for the Language Quiz event.

Hreyansh Neil of Class IV and Kevin Bhargava of Class V brought laurels to the school by securing the Second Position in ‘The Scrabble Challenge’.

 

 

SCI SPARK

SCI SPARK, an Inter-School Competition was held at DPS Vasant Vihar on 7th December 2024. Our students, Ayaansh Jain from Class V and Aryan Nijhara from Class IV, brought laurels to the school by bagging the Second Position in the event, ‘Knowledge Knockout’ a science quiz. They competed against participants from 40 schools across Delhi.

Additionally, Charvi Garg and Yuvraj Sehgal, both from Class IV made us proud by achieving the Second Position in the Toy-rific Science Toy Making Competition.

 

 

GEOVITA - Celebrating Earth’s Vital Diversity

 The Cambridge wing of DLDAV PITAMPURA hosted an inter school competition, ‘GEOVITA - Celebrating Earth’s Vital Diversity’, in November, 2024.

 Over 35 schools took part in an array of competitions, including renowned Cambridge international schools such as, South Farnborough Infant School, Farnborough UK, Braly Elementary school, Krasnaya Polyana School, RUSSIA.

 Our students excelled and brought laurels to the school by winning prizes under the various categories-

-          VIHA AGGARWAL of Class 1A stood First in GEO-TALES (digital storytelling).

-          ERISHA ASIJA and SUVEER MITRA of Class 2A won the Second Position in GEO-GENIUS (digital poster making).

-          AADHIR GUPTA and ALYSSA RAHEJA of Class 3A won the First Position in GEO-GOBBLE (digital presentation).

 

 

 

UCMAS

Suryansh Pandey, a student of Class 3B, has achieved success in two major UCMAS (Universal Concept Mental Arithmetic System) competitions.

18th Delhi State Level UCMAS Competition (12th May 2024): Suryansh participated in the Level 2 oral exam, where he solved 102 sums in just 8 minutes. His outstanding performance earned him the 4th Runner-up position, and he received the prestigious UCMAS Trophy, awarded to the top 6 candidates.

International UCMAS Championship (14th December 2024): In this highly competitive international event, Suryansh participated in the Level 4 oral exam. He solved 71 sums in 7 minutes and 30 seconds, securing 3rd rank in the C category and once again receiving the UCMAS Trophy.

These achievements highlight his exceptional mental arithmetic skills and dedication to excelling in UCMAS competitions.

 

 

 

 


PERFORMANCE OF MEHRANSHVEER SINGH TOKAS, CLASS- II-C IN SWIMMING

1.  Represented School in 1st Prometheus Inter School winter Swimming Championship-2024 held on 23.12.2024 at Prometheus School, Noida and won 02 gold Medals and Best Swimmer Trophy in the age group o0f boys-5 category.

2.  YMCA SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP-2024: He represented the school in the BOYS 5 Category and won 03 gold medals in 50, 100 metres Freestyle and 50 metres Butterfly. He was also awarded the BEST SWIMMER trophy in his age category. This event was held from 22-24 August 2024 at YMCA Swimming pool, Jai Singh Road, New Delhi.

3.  DELHI OPEN TALENT SEARCH SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP: He represented the school in the BOYS 9 Category and won 01 gold medal in 50, Freestyle and 01 silver 50 metres Butterfly. He was also awarded the BEST SWIMMER trophy in his age category.

This event was held on 25th August 2024 at Dr. SPM Swimming pool (earlier known as Talkatora Swimming Pool), New Delhi.

4.  He represented the school in the BOYS 7 Category and won 01 gold medal in 50 metres Freestyle, 01 Silver in 25 metres Butterfly and 01 Bronze in 100 metres Individual Medley. This event was held 19th May 2024 at Eicher School Swimming pool, Sector-46, Faridabad, Haryana.

5.  He represented School in Inter school Swimming Championship-2024, held at Shalom Presidency School, Gurugram and won 02 gold and 01 Silver Medal and was also awarded with the BEST SWIMMER trophy.

6.  He represented School in Inter School Winter Swimming Championship-2024 held at Eicher School, Faridabad, Sector-46, Haryana and won 04 gold medals and BEST SWIMMER trophy in Boys age group 7.

 

 

 

CBSE Chess Delhi Central Zonals 

 
The talented young students of DPS Vasant Kunj brought laurels to the school at CBSE Chess Delhi Central Zonals, 2024 held at Bal Bhavan Public School, Mayur Vihar from 8 - 10 October, 2024. The Under-11 Mixed Team, comprising Arnav Sachdev (V-C),  Avyan Oberoi (V-D), Hunar Kapoor (IV-E), Pravit Singhal (III-D), delivered an exceptional performance, securing the Second Position and qualifying for the CBSE Nationals 2024.
 

Hunar Kapoor of Class IV-E gave an outstanding performance, securing the individual board prize as she remained unbeatable in the U-11 Mixed Category with a perfect 6/6 score. 


  

Inter- School Cricket Tournament

 Aarav Yadav, a student of Class II, participated in the Inter-School Cricket Tournament and displayed an outstanding performance during the match against DPS, Vasant Vihar on 20 September, 2024. His exceptional skills, dedication and sportsmanship earned him the coveted, ‘Player of the Match’ title and a trophy. His outstanding batting display, scoring 27 not out, turned the game in his team's favour. His impressive innings, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills on the pitch, motivated his teammates and secured the victory.


Melange

An Inter-School Competition, Spectrum – Melange 2024,  was organised by DPS Dwarka on 17 August, 2024. It provided an excellent opportunity for the young learners to showcase their talents. The students of classes Nur -V participated in various online and onsite competitions. The event was a resounding success with the students winning accolades in the following categories:

Inter-School Advertisement Presentation
Modern School, Vasant Vihar, organised an Inter-School Advertisement Presentation competition on July 25, 2024. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of classes IV and V from 18 schools, showcasing the creativity and talent of young students.
Charvi Garg and Pransul Sehgal of Class IV and Sharanya Seth and Amyra Minocha of Class V proudly secured the Third Position in the event.  The students demonstrated exceptional skills and creativity in their presentations, earning accolades and bringing pride to their school.
 

Monsoon International Speed Cubing Tournament
Daksha Shankar, a student of Class V, excelled in the Monsoon International Speed Cubing Tournament held on June 23, 2024, in the 8-13 years age category, organized by the Cube Federation of India. She earned the coveted Big Cube Trophy, impressing with her swift solving timing in the 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, and Megaminx cube events.
 

Eager Beavers – Juniors, A Digital Fiesta
An online Inter-School Competition, ‘Eager Beavers- Junior, A Digital Fiesta’ was organised by Kulachi Hansraj Model School, Cambridge International School, Ashok Vihar in the month of May 2024. Atharva Prakash, a student of Class II from the Cambridge section participated in the event, ‘Explore English’ in which the participants were required to create a 50-second YouTube video presenting interesting facts about the English language. Atharva's creative use of costumes and props and impressive artistic skills earned him the Second Prize in the competition.

 

5th Child and Mini Delhi State Fencing Championship 2024-2025
On 26 May 2024, the Delhi Association for Fencing (DAFF) organized the "5th Child and Mini Delhi State Fencing Championship 2024-2025." The North West Delhi District Fencing Association hosted the event under the aegis of the Delhi Association for Fencing. Saatvik Gupta (III-A) demonstrated excellent precision and technique in power, balance, dexterity, motor skills, and impressive mental agility. He represented the Southeast district and secured the Silver Medal in the Under-10 category for the Sabre discipline.

 

MOD Promethean Fest 2024
Modern school, Vasant Vihar organised an Inter-School Literary Competition, ‘MOD Promethean’ on 3rd May, 2024. The event provided an exceptional platform for students in grades 4 and 5 to demonstrate their literary skills. Arnavi Sood (IV-F) and Aadya Saran (V-F) brought laurels to the school by winning the First Position in the event, ‘Pic a Story’ in which they wrote an imaginative story following the ‘Freytag’s Pyramid’.
In another event titled  ‘Spell Bee’, Hreyansh Neil (IV-B) and Darsh Bhanot (V-D) bagged the Third Position. The students delivered their performances brilliantly with their unique learning experiences and their presentation received wholehearted appreciation from the judges.
