State-Leve IMD Quiz Competition Achievement
On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), a state-level quiz competition was organized to promote awareness of meteorological science among students. The prestigious competition witnessed the participation of over 26,000 students from various schools across the state.
We are proud to announce that Shiven Mehlawat of Class 9F secured the second position in this highly competitive event. His exceptional performance showcased his dedication and knowledge, placing him among the top three performers honored from each state and union territory.
The felicitation ceremony took place on 14th December 2024, where Shiven Mehlawat was honored by Dr. Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, the Director General of IMD and the 3rd Vice President of the World Meteorological Organization. This recognition reflects Shiven’s hard work and commitment to academic excellence.

Ritvik Gupta Wins National Table Tennis Championship
We are thrilled to announce that Ritvik Gupta, a student of DPS Vasant Kunj, has emerged as the National Champion in Table Tennis for 2025.
Ritvik won the coveted GOLD Medal at the 86th Sub Junior National Table Tennis Championship held in Indore from February 3-7, 2025. He demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, winning all his matches against top players from Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, PSPB, Karnataka, and West Bengal.

A Musical Sojourn
Karmanya Arjun Taneja, a Class 10 student, had the honor of representing India as an ambassador at the prestigious Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan, USA. During his time there, he participated in a summer course focused on music and audio engineering, immersing himself in a rich learning experience.
The course provided a comprehensive exploration of music production, delving into its history and enabling participants to analyze classic songs from earlier times. Weekly collaborations with singer-songwriters allowed Karmanya to create new music, fostering creativity and teamwork. He also honed his skills in studio etiquette and mastered the use of professional studio equipment for recording and mixing.
The highlight of Karmanya's journey was his team's victory in the "Ultimate Beat Battle," a competition where participants were tasked with creating a song using samples. This achievement showcased his talent and dedication to the art of music production, making his experience at Interlochen truly memorable.
The Education World India School Rankings
The Education World India School Rankings (EWISR) held an award ceremony on 17 October, 2024. The EWISR is a comprehensive school ranking survey that aims to create a level playing field for newly promoted schools. In the survey, Vintage Legacy Schools (90 years and above) are ranked separately in different categories.
Delhi Public School Vasant Kunj won the Third Prize in the Co-ed Day-cum-Boarding School category. Ms Meenakshi Malhotra and Ms.Nandita Yadav attended the award ceremony. The ceremony was held at Leela Ambience in Gurugram and included panel discussions on topics such as whether board exams, digital readiness and co-curricular education can positively impact university admission outcomes.
ALL INDIA INTER DPS NATIONAL GIRLS SQUASH CHAMPIONS
Congratulations to the DPS Vasant Kunj girls' squash team on their outstanding achievement ! The team secured the First Position and Sanvi Batar secured the Best Player of the tournament in the All India Inter DPS National Girls Squash Championship at DPS Surat (Gujrat) from 25th to 27th July 2024.
