“Mrs. Hemalatha Muralidharan joined DPS, RK Puram in 1993 as TGT (Maths). When DPS started its Senior Wing in Vasant Kunj in July 1994, she shifted to the new school. She was promoted as PGT (Maths) in 1996, and became HOD (Maths) in April 2000. In her 18 year stint, Mrs Hemalatha has guided and moulded her team of teachers in the department with unflinching zeal and passion and created a competent unit that is set up for success in the coming years. Her work is further borne out by the stellar performance of our students in board exams, olympiads and other events year after year .As HOD, Mrs. Hemalatha also oversaw the setting up of a Maths Lab in the school. The Maths Lab will continue to inculcate a love for the subject among students and will inspire them to think of mathematics beyond numbers and equations.
She became the Academic Coordinator for Senior classes in 2012 and later, Headmistress in 2014, both roles expanded her responsibility of an academician to include administrative duties as well. Mrs Hemalatha rose to this challenge admirably, as she deftly managed the administrative aspects of various departments in the middle and senior secondary wings, while also maintaining academic rigour and excellence.
Mrs. Hemalatha became Vice Principal in October, 2018.
Mrs. Hemalatha is an epitome of quiet perseverance and relentless pursuit of excellence. With more than 25 years of rich and varied experience, Mrs. Hemalatha has impressed one and all with her devotion and dedication towards academic excellence of young children and their overall personality development. Her relentless, unwavering focus on constantly bettering our high standards is an inspiration for the school to reach even greater heights and become the gold standard in education.
