These words truly encapsulate her dedication and vision, Mrs. Bindu Sehgal, the Director of the institution, is an academician who is the epitome of perseverance, professionalism, and progress. After joining DPS, R.K. Puram in July 1983, she worked there as TGT (Chemistry) for more than ten years before joining DPS Vasant Kunj in April 1994. At DPS, Vasant Kunj, she became HOD (Chemistry) in April 2000, Senior Mistress in Feb 2003, and Vice-Principal (Offg.) in Sept. 2004.
Mrs. Sehgal took over as Principal of this institution in April 2011. Her role in building up the academic faculty in Science stream at the school has been enormous. As an educationist, she sees as her goal the development of scientific temper and adaptability in her learner group.
Prudent, precise, and a person of few words, she has contributed immensely to the development of DPS Vasant Kunj into an outstanding institution with an established focus on inculcation of discipline and professionalism in the academic training of students. She has provided a balanced emphasis on academics, extracurricular activities, and training for competitive examinations to make the students intellectually competent, physically sound, and socially useful individuals. In recognition of her outstanding contribution to the cause of education, Mrs. Sehgal was awarded the State Teachers' Award 2015. She had also been conferred with Best Principal (Delhi Zone) Award by SOF for six consecutive years up until May 2022. She stepped into the august role of the Director of the famed institution from June 2022.
As the Director, she envisions to continue mentoring and guiding the institution to newer heights of excellence.
