ECA RAPID CHESS TOURNAMENT

 Eminent Chess Academy (Affiliated to Delhi Chess Association) organised a Chess Tournament on 18^th November, 2023.More than 250 students from various schools of Delhi/NCR participated in the tournament.Vivaan Chawla of III-D and Pragun Mahajan of II-E brought laurels to school by bagging the third position in the tournament. 

MELANGE 2023 – DPS Dwarka

DPS Vasant Kunj, Junior School, participated in the ANNUAL FEST 2023 held at DPS DWARKA which provided an opportunity to the young learners to exhibit their skills and exchange ideas through healthy competitions. The students participated enthusiastically in both online and onsite competitions held on 14^th October 2023 and won the following prizes-

1.      Sharanya Seth of class IV and Charvi Garg of class III bagged the second position for Millet-o-fun

2.      Vanya Arora of class V bagged the second position in Excel in EXCEL

3.      Prisha Chowdhary of class II bagged the second position in Marionette

4.      Inaya Chandra of class I bagged the second position in Photofit

5.      Yatee Chawla and Nitya Gupta of class V bagged the forth position in Angoli 

23^rd Kanwar Ashish Annual Cricket Tournament

The students of classes 1 and 2 participated in 23^rd Kanwar Ashish Annual Cricket Tournament held at D.P.S. R.K. Puram from 13/9/2023 to 11/10/2023.

A team of 15 children represented our school. They played five matches with different schools.

The following children  brought laurels to school by winning Man of the Match trophies.

1.  ABIR SURAJ MALIK of class 2A. The match was played on 13.9.2023 against D.P.S.  international,  R.K. Puram.

2.  ERIN BALHARA of class 2C.

The match was played on 15.9.2023 against D.P.S Sec 84, Gurgaon.

3.   SURYANSH PANDEY of class 2B.  The match was played on 18.9.2023 against D.P.S. Mathura Road.

4.   ABIR SURAJ MALIK of class 2A. The match was played on 21.9.2023 against  D.P.S Sec 45, Gurgaon.

He was also awarded with the MASTER BLASTER TROPHY in the closing ceremony which was held on 11.10.2023.

Grand International Speedcubing Tournament

Daksha Shankar of class IV B participated in the Grand International Speedcubing Tournament  organised by Cube Federation of India on 10 Sep 2023. She won the Big Cube Trophy for her timing for 4x4, 5x5, 6x6 and Megaminx cubes.

Zonal level Lawn Tennis Tournament at Modern School Vasant Vihar-2023

The Department of Education  conducted the Zonal level Lawn tennis tournament at Modern School Vasant Vihar on 2^nd September 2023.

Harshvardhan Baid ,Aardhay Awasthi and Amay Bhatia of class 5 made the school proud by winning the  tournament in the Mini Boys category.

Fourth Prabhjot Baruah Memorial Inter-School Debate Competition

Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj participated in the Fourth Prabhjot Baruah Memorial Inter-School Debate Competition on 24th August, 2023.  The event was organised by Delhi Public School, Mathura Road. The theme of the debate was ‘Social Media has Improved Human Communication’. Sara Kanwar of class IV-E and Adwaitaa Singh of class V-C enthusiastically participated in the competition. The students showed exemplary performance and won the Rolling Trophy. Sara Kanwar and Adwaitaa Singh  also bagged the 1st and the 2nd prizes respectively, for the best speakers. The students performed with great zeal and made the school proud by winning the prizes.

27th Haryana state Chess championship

Hunar Kapoor of class 3F has won the Second  position in the 27th Haryana state Chess championship in the under 9 age group category organised by GD Goenka school ,Sector 89 Faridabad on  12th & 13th August 2023.

3rd Daniel Delany Inter School Swimming Championship

3rd Daniel Delany Inter School Swimming Championship was organised by Mount St. Mary's School, Delhi Cantt. on 7th and 8th August,2023.

Around 30 schools from Delhi participated in the competition.

18 students from our school from classes 3rd-12th participated and won 2 Gold ,3 Silver and 6 Bronze Medals.

Garvita Sehrawat 4 D 1 Gold,1 Bronze in 25mts Freestyle and 25 mts Backstroke 

Kiara Sehrawat 3 C 1 Gold in 25 mts Butterfly.Congratulations to the budding swimmers. 

Bosco Public School, Paschim Vihar,  Splash Inter School Swimming Championship 

Bosco Public School, Paschim Vihar organized Splash Inter School Swimming Championship on 4^th August,2023. Almost 50 schools from all over Delhi participated in this event.  Our children made the school proud by winning prizes in the following categories-

-          Garvita Sehrawat of Class IV-D won three Gold Medals and the Individual Championship.

-          Kiara Sehrawat of Class III-C won one Gold Medal.

-          Kanav Sehrawat of Class V-E won one Bronze Medal and one Silver Medal. 

 SRIJAN - 2023

Modern School Vasant Vihar organized an Inter-School Literary Competition- SRIJAN, for the students of Classes IV and V on 28^th July, 2023.11 schools participated in the competition.

Our students brought laurels to school by securing the First Position in Vigyapan Prastuti Competition. The names of the winners are as follows-

-    -  Shiven Sidharth – 5A

-    -  Yate Chawla – 5A

They were awarded with a trophy and the certificates.

VORTEX 2023

Delhi Public School, Rohini organised VORTEX 2023, an Inter School Mathematics Symposium from 21^st July- 22^nd July,2023. Amaira Vohra of Class 5G and Shiven Sidharth of Class 5A participated in Math-a-thon, an online event and bagged the First position.

As a team they made an advertisement video on the importance of number 9 in daily life. The advertisement video featured a poem, jingle and props to promote number 9.

The mathematical properties of number were a prominent feature of the advertisement.

 27th Haryana State chess championship 2023-24

Hunar Kapoor of Class 3F bagged the First position in the under 7 open girls category of the 27th Haryana State chess championship 2023-24.

The competition was organised by Chess association of Kaithal on 3^rd and 4^th June 2023 at Aggarsain Dharamshala,Kaithal.

7th Delhi State Taekwondo Championship

Rajasvi Jain of class 4D participated in the 7th Delhi State Taekwondo championship  held at KSK Public school Neb Sarai from 20^th to 21 st May 2023 in the Subjunior category .

She bagged  a Silver medal in the Kyorugi female Subjunior under 47 kg category.

BRIGHT SPARKS

An online Inter-school event, Bright Sparks, was organized by DAV Public School, Cambridge International, Pushpanjali in the month of April’23 to develop intellectual and cultural diversity among learners; encourage reflection and make active learning incremental.

DPS Vasant Kunj bagged the following three prizes out of four entries sent:

 Global Rubik's Cube Event " Kickstart  2023" organized by Junior Cube Association

Daksha Shankar of class IV B participated in the Global Rubik's Cube event " Kickstart  2023" organized by Junior Cube Association on 22nd and 23rd April where children competed with cubers from all over the world. She was awarded the "Star Performer Girl" Trophy in the under 9 category. She also got a Silver Medal for 3X3 cube.

MOD PROMETHEAN FEST - 2023

An Inter - School Competition - MOD PROMETHEAN FEST -2023 was held in Modern School, Vasant Vihar on 4th May 2023 wherein 10 schools participated. The children brought laurels to the school by winning the third position in ' Twist in a Tale' in which they enacted the story of 'Rapunzel' with an interesting twist.

Our school also bagged the second position in 'SpellBee' wherein the children had to go through three rigorous rounds. It was an enriching experience for all the participants and winning the prizes brought smiles on their happy faces.
