Delhi Open States Gymnastics Championship 2023-24
Delhi Amateur Gymnastics Association organised Delhi Open States Gymnastics Championship 2023-24 under different categories from 28th March to 31st March,2024.Dhwani Vasudeva of Class V-G participated in Rhythmic Gymnastics, U-10 Category. She brought laurels to school by winning the Silver Medal in Free Hand Event and Bronze Medal in Hoop Event.
20th Junior Flash 2023-24
Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School organized Inter-School Competition 20th Junior Flash 2023-24, on 19th January, 2024. Vivaan Jhajharia of Class 4 and Vanya Arora of Class 5 brought laurels to school by securing the third position in the event, ‘Slide Battle’.
“Ekjut-2024 -A Purple Perspective”
“Ekjut-2024 -A Purple Perspective” was organized by Delhi Public School Rohini on 25th January 2024, in association with Special Olympics Bharat. Many dignitaries graced the occasion by being a part of it like Mrs Kiran Dattar, member DPS Society and a renowned educationist, Dr Rakesh Rahi, District Director of Rohini ,etc. 22 schools participated from across Delhi and NCR. The event started with the lamp lighting ceremony which was followed by wonderful Yoga and gymnastics performance and then the Principal Ms. Kanika Sachdeva addressed the august gathering.
The sports event started with a torch-bearing ceremony which was followed by the oath-taking ceremony and thereafter various sports events took place simultaneously. Our students performed exceptionally well by getting 6 medals in various categories.

SIP ABACUS DELHI NCR HARYANA REGIONAL PRODIGY 2023
Nakul Blaggana of 5D participated in the SIP ABACUS DELHI NCR HARYANA REGIONAL PRODIGY 2023 at Noida Expo center sector 62 on 10th December 2023. More than 1000 students participated and he secured the SECOND POSITION and won the title and SUPER STAR trophy in Level 5 category. It was not only a test of Arithmetic ability but also of concentration skills. He exhibited commendable performance with a sharp sense of dealing with numbers.
Inter School Language Festival ‘Literarium’: मैं हूँ जादूगर’
Kanavdeep Singh Chadha of class IV A secured Second position in Hindi Competition ‘मैं हूँ जादूगर’ organized by Delhi Public School ,Vasant Vihar as a part of their Inter School Language Festival ‘Literarium’ held on 13th December,2023.
Praestantia 2023
Cambridge wing of DL DAV Model School, Pitampura, hosted an online interschool completion, Praestantia 2023, designed to align with the global celebration of Cyber Security Awareness Month, under the theme ”Secure Our World.” More than forty schools registered for the same. Abhitee Srivastava of class Prep made us proud by winning third prize in the event- Online Safety Adventure Land designing and presenting her mascot for online safety.
THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE MEET -2023
An Inter - School Competition -THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE MEET -2023 was held at Raghubir Singh Junior Modern School, Humayun Road on 8th December 2023 wherein 16 schools of Delhi participated. Our students took part in the following events:
1. Vocab Venture
2. Spin A Tale- Creative Writing
3. Spotlight- Enactment
Idhant Negi and Hreyansh Neil of Class 3 brought laurels to the school by winning the first position in 'Vocab Venture'.They had to go through three rigorous rounds. It was an enriching experience for all the participants.
‘ News Bite – IT and Sustainability competition.’
Sharanya Seth of Class IV E and Darsh Bhanot of Class IV D participated in the Inter -School Competition – ‘News Bite’ held at DPS International, RK Puram on 7th December, 2023.
The participants had to prepare a Power Point Presentation on sustainability practices depicting the three R’s. They used photographs and snippets of EVS activities related to conservation of environment done in the school. Afterwards, they created a video and presented it live as news broadcasters.
They brought laurels to school by winning the first position.
Inter School Swimming Championship-2023
Inter School Swimming Championship-2023 was held at Eicher School, Sector-46, Faridabad on 3r December, 2023. Mehranshveer Singh Tokas of class 1 brought laurels by winning the following events in Boys Group 9 category.
· Gold in 25m Freestyle
· Gold in 25m Breast Stroke
· Gold in 25m Back Stroke
He was also awarded best swimmer in his age group boys group 9.
Ryder Open Tennis Tournament
Ryder's Sports Academy, Sector -57, Gurugram organised Ryder Open Tennis Tournament on 25th November, 2023.24 players from all over Delhi NCR participated in the knockout tournament. Harshvardhan Baid of Class V-C participated in the tournament and made the school proud by securing the Second Postion. He was awarded with the trophy, a certificate and a gift.
Jashvardhan Baid of Class II D also participated in the same tournament which was held on 26th November, 2023. He participated in the Under -6 Category. 16 players from all over Delhi NCR participated in the tournament. Jashvardhan brought laurels to school by winning the tournament. He secured the first position and was awarded with the trophy, a certificate and a gift.
Harshvardhan Baid, Class V-C, made DPS Vasant Kunj proud by securing 1st Runner Up(2nd) Postion in Ryder Open Tennis Tournament in Gurugram on 25th November 2023. Total 24 players from all over Delhi NCR participated in the knockout tournament. Harshvardhan won consecutive 3 rounds to storm into final of the tournament and thereafter secured Runner-Up position. He was awarded with Trophy, Certificate and Runner Up gift.
Boys Zonals Swimming Competition
1. Boys Zonals Swimming Competition was held at Govt. Sarvodaya Co-ed S.S. School, Sector 6 R.K. Puram on 11th September,2023. 14 boys participated and won 27 Gold,10 Silver and 8 Bronze medals. The complete results are as follows:

23rd Kanwar Ashish Annual Cricket Tournament
The students of classes 1 and 2 participated in 23rd Kanwar Ashish Annual Cricket Tournament held at D.P.S. R.K. Puram from 13/9/2023 to 11/10/2023.
A team of 15 children represented our school. They played five matches with different schools.
The following children brought laurels to school by winning Man of the Match trophies.
1. ABIR SURAJ MALIK of class 2A. The match was played on 13.9.2023 against D.P.S. international, R.K. Puram.
2. ERIN BALHARA of class 2C.
The match was played on 15.9.2023 against D.P.S Sec 84, Gurgaon.
3. SURYANSH PANDEY of class 2B. The match was played on 18.9.2023 against D.P.S. Mathura Road.
4. ABIR SURAJ MALIK of class 2A. The match was played on 21.9.2023 against D.P.S Sec 45, Gurgaon.
He was also awarded with the MASTER BLASTER TROPHY in the closing ceremony which was held on 11.10.2023.

Grand International Speedcubing Tournament
Daksha Shankar of class IV B participated in the Grand International Speedcubing Tournament organised by Cube Federation of India on 10 Sep 2023. She won the Big Cube Trophy for her timing for 4x4, 5x5, 6x6 and Megaminx cubes.
Zonal level Lawn Tennis Tournament at Modern School Vasant Vihar-2023
The Department of Education conducted the Zonal level Lawn tennis tournament at Modern School Vasant Vihar on 2nd September 2023.
Harshvardhan Baid ,Aardhay Awasthi and Amay Bhatia of class 5 made the school proud by winning the tournament in the Mini Boys category.
Fourth Prabhjot Baruah Memorial Inter-School Debate Competition
Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj participated in the Fourth Prabhjot Baruah Memorial Inter-School Debate Competition on 24th August, 2023. The event was organised by Delhi Public School, Mathura Road. The theme of the debate was ‘Social Media has Improved Human Communication’. Sara Kanwar of class IV-E and Adwaitaa Singh of class V-C enthusiastically participated in the competition. The students showed exemplary performance and won the Rolling Trophy. Sara Kanwar and Adwaitaa Singh also bagged the 1st and the 2nd prizes respectively, for the best speakers. The students performed with great zeal and made the school proud by winning the prizes.
27th Haryana state Chess championship
Hunar Kapoor of class 3F has won the Second position in the 27th Haryana state Chess championship in the under 9 age group category organised by GD Goenka school ,Sector 89 Faridabad on 12th & 13th August 2023.
3rd Daniel Delany Inter School Swimming Championship
3rd Daniel Delany Inter School Swimming Championship was organised by Mount St. Mary's School, Delhi Cantt. on 7th and 8th August,2023.
Around 30 schools from Delhi participated in the competition.
18 students from our school from classes 3rd-12th participated and won 2 Gold ,3 Silver and 6 Bronze Medals.

Bosco Public School, Paschim Vihar, Splash Inter School Swimming Championship
Bosco Public School, Paschim Vihar organized Splash Inter School Swimming Championship on 4th August,2023. Almost 50 schools from all over Delhi participated in this event. Our children made the school proud by winning prizes in the following categories-
- Garvita Sehrawat of Class IV-D won three Gold Medals and the Individual Championship.
- Kiara Sehrawat of Class III-C won one Gold Medal.
- Kanav Sehrawat of Class V-E won one Bronze Medal and one Silver Medal.
SRIJAN - 2023
Modern School Vasant Vihar organized an Inter-School Literary Competition- SRIJAN, for the students of Classes IV and V on 28th July, 2023.11 schools participated in the competition.
Our students brought laurels to school by securing the First Position in Vigyapan Prastuti Competition. The names of the winners are as follows-

VORTEX 2023
Delhi Public School, Rohini organised VORTEX 2023, an Inter School Mathematics Symposium from 21st July- 22nd July,2023. Amaira Vohra of Class 5G and Shiven Sidharth of Class 5A participated in Math-a-thon, an online event and bagged the First position.
As a team they made an advertisement video on the importance of number 9 in daily life. The advertisement video featured a poem, jingle and props to promote number 9.
The mathematical properties of number were a prominent feature of the advertisement.
27th Haryana State chess championship 2023-24
Hunar Kapoor of Class 3F bagged the First position in the under 7 open girls category of the 27th Haryana State chess championship 2023-24.
The competition was organised by Chess association of Kaithal on 3rd and 4th June 2023 at Aggarsain Dharamshala,Kaithal.
7th Delhi State Taekwondo Championship
Rajasvi Jain of class 4D participated in the 7th Delhi State Taekwondo championship held at KSK Public school Neb Sarai from 20th to 21 st May 2023 in the Subjunior category .
She bagged a Silver medal in the Kyorugi female Subjunior under 47 kg category.

An online Inter-school event, Bright Sparks, was organized by DAV Public School, Cambridge International, Pushpanjali in the month of April’23 to develop intellectual and cultural diversity among learners; encourage reflection and make active learning incremental.

Global Rubik's Cube Event " Kickstart 2023" organized by Junior Cube Association
Daksha Shankar of class IV B participated in the Global Rubik's Cube event " Kickstart 2023" organized by Junior Cube Association on 22nd and 23rd April where children competed with cubers from all over the world. She was awarded the "Star Performer Girl" Trophy in the under 9 category. She also got a Silver Medal for 3X3 cube.

MOD PROMETHEAN FEST - 2023
An Inter - School Competition - MOD PROMETHEAN FEST -2023 was held in Modern School, Vasant Vihar on 4th May 2023 wherein 10 schools participated. The children brought laurels to the school by winning the third position in ' Twist in a Tale' in which they enacted the story of 'Rapunzel' with an interesting twist.
Our school also bagged the second position in 'SpellBee' wherein the children had to go through three rigorous rounds. It was an enriching experience for all the participants and winning the prizes brought smiles on their happy faces.
