Krishna

It was a moment of glory, exhilaration and triumph as 500 students of Classes IV and V staged a spectacular dance drama- KRISHNA on 16th November, 2016. Mrs. Sumeeta Bahl, Deputy Director of Education graced the occasion with her presence. Rear Admiral, M. M. Chopra, Vice Chairman DPS Society and Chairperson Managing Committee, DPS Vasant Kunj, was the guest of honour. He welcomed the gathering highlighting the importance of the role of parents and teachers in moulding children. He stressed upon the significance of spreading love and care, giving respect to all and showing courage to stand up for righteousness. He also praised the school principal, Mrs. Bindu Sehgal, for her dedication and hard work. 
The programme began with a melodious song - ‘Krishna ne be Gane Baro’. The students portrayed the life of Lord Krishna - from birth to his joyous and playful  childhood, his true and divine friendship with Sudama his prowess as the divine charioteer of Arjuna reciting ‘The Bhagavad Gita’ thus conveying the message of how to lead a successful and righteous life  and spread happiness all around. 
The impressive presentation left the guests and audience spellbound and everyone applauded the efforts of students as well as the teachers. 
The occasion also became a proud moment for the students of Class IV as they received the Scholar Badges for the session 2015-16 by the dignitaries. 
Proposing the vote of thanks, the School Principal, Mrs. Bindu Sehgal, eulogised  the combined efforts of students and teachers in making the event a grand success. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
