First of all, I would like to thank the Almighty Allah for His blessings without which this would have been impossible.
The feeling I had on seeing my result was not only of happiness, but also of astonishment. 97% was an extremely pleasant surprise and having topped the school was an even greater one. Honestly speaking, I would give myself the bleakest of chances of getting a score above 95% because of the type of preparation I had put in for the Board Exams. But I think this very approach towards studies paid off. A lot of talk goes into managing the school studies and the entrance preparation. In my view, its quite easy to do both, at the same time. At the end of the day, it’s the subject which matters and not the books from which you study the particular subject. I had put in concerted efforts over the past two years and I think it is this regular studying which helped me to excel. Also, I started treating the exams not as sources of marks but as sources of knowledge. They let me know time and again what I knew and what I didn’t. I was quiet carefree about the result of these tests. Small failures in these didn’t blur my goal, that of getting a respectable rank in JEE. My parents were a constant guiding force behind, so were my teachers who always believed I would do well. Its these good wishes which has made me achieve this.

Q.2.
Whom/What do you attribute your success to?
Ans.
I would say it’s a mix of quite a few things. Obviously, the most important one is Allah’s Grace. Parental support is another. Then the teachers, both at school and my coaching institute, helped me a lot in achieving this.
Q.3.
Do you have a role model?
Ans.
My grandfathers, both maternal and paternal, are huge sources of inspiration.
Q.4.
In what ways, do you think did the school help you?
Ans.
The school provided a perfect environment for me to perform so well. The teachers were always very supportive and their continuous inspirational words spurred me to do hard work.
Q.5.
What are your plans for the future?
Ans.
I take life as it comes. However, in the near future, I hope to get a good branch in IIT Delhi or IIT Bombay.
Q.6.
Needless to say you are now a role model for all the students. What message would you like to convey to the young aspirants who are yet to appear for the class XII board exam?
Ans.
There are a few things required to succeed. The most important of them is to be serious about the task at hand. Some sacrifices need to be made to achieve success. Also, small failures in the way should not dishearten us. And of course, regular studying is must. Postponing things would lead to a really tough situation later. A systematic and scheduled study plan would work wonders. I also feel that long hours of study don’t help as much as focused study does. A little recreation, preferably outdoor sports, is also required to break monotony.
